Thank you to the First Baptist Dallas for volunteering at OurCalling. We are excited to have you all here. You will receive a brief orientation upon arrival and then serve throughout the building in a couple of different areas:
- Kitchen—Assist staff in preparing and serving meals. Volunteers must be 16 years or older to serve in the Kitchen.
- Guest Services—Assist with Resources, including clothing and hygiene orders, laundry, and showers.
- Guest Engagement—Volunteers will engage with guests through conversations and games. This is a relational opportunity. We encourage sharing the gospel and/or praying with guests whenever possible. Volunteers must be 18 years or older to do Guest Engagement.
- Warehouse—Assist with sorting, labeling, and organizing incoming donations to be distributed to guests.
Arrival Time: Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled check-in time to allow for parking and check-in.
Parking: Please note that parking is limited, so carpooling is highly encouraged. We recommend carpooling as much as possible due to limited parking on-site. Please park in the south parking lot, marked as "Volunteer Parking" on the gate. Ring the doorbell by the double gray doors to be let inside.
Dress Code: Please wear long pants (no leggings), a t-shirt, and closed-toed shoes. If you have long hair, bring a hair tie in case you serve in the kitchen.
