This is a great opportunity for direct interaction with guests. Our care ministers and volunteer leads will connect with new volunteers to go over the rules of engagement (i.e., appropriate vs inappropriate questions or topics, when to walk away, when to pull a staff member in). Volunteers will simply engage with guests through conversations and games, including dominoes, checkers, cards, and others. It is a way to build relationships. We encourage sharing the gospel and/or praying with guests whenever possible.
Dress Code: Please wear long pants (preferably jeans), a T-shirt, and closed-toed shoes. Leggings are not allowed.
First-Time Volunteers: When you arrive, check in at the Volunteer Check-In station. Please wait for your name tag to print (this may take 10-15 seconds) and place any bags or purses in a locker. Once you are checked in with your items put away, go to the downstairs worship center for a guide to engagement from one of the Care Ministers.
